Stainless Steel Diamond Plate is processed by mechanical equipment to create concave and convex patterns on stainless steel plates. In the early 1960s, large-scale steel mills in Europe began small-scale production, and subsequently, due to the excellent corrosion resistance and slip resistance of stainless steel patterned plates, they were adopted by many industries and began to be popularized. The earliest pattern style of stainless steel patterned plates was a staggered pattern of horizontal and vertical stripes, which was produced by Shanxi Taiyuan Iron and Steel and Shanghai Baosteel Group in China. In the following 20-30 years, researchers continuously experimented and improved to design patterns with better anti slip properties, which were also widely produced, promoted and applied. In recent years, the use of stainless steel patterned plates has been constantly innovating, breaking through, and changing. The applicable industries and product models have also been increasing, and the speed of product updates has become more frequent.
Stainless steel patterned plates are divided into two categories:
One type is produced by steel mills through rolling mills during the production of stainless steel. The main thickness of these products is about 3-6mm, and they are in the state of hot rolling followed by hot pickling. The process is as follows:
Stainless steel billet → Hot rolling mill for rolling black coil → Hot annealing and pickling line → Flattening machine, straightening machine, polishing line → Transverse line → Hot rolled stainless steel patterned plate
This type of patterned board has one side flat and the other side patterned. This type of patterned board is commonly used in applications that require strength, such as chemical engineering, railway vehicles, and platforms. This type of product is mainly imported, usually from Japan and Belgium, and domestically produced by Taiyuan Iron and Steel and Baosteel belong to this type.
The second type is processing enterprises in the market, which purchase hot-rolled or cold-rolled stainless steel plates from steel mills and produce patterned plates through mechanical stamping. These products are concave on one side and convex on the other, commonly used in general civilian decoration occasions. This type of product is commonly cold-rolled, and the majority of 2B/BA cold-rolled stainless steel patterned plates on the market are of this type.
