700L automotive beam plate is a high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) structural steel with a minimum yield strength of 700MPa, much higher than the yield strength of ordinary steel. This high-strength characteristic allows for a significant reduction in material usage, structural weight, transportation efficiency, and fuel economy under the same load-bearing conditions
Chemical composition and heat treatment process
The 700L automobile beam plate achieves a perfect balance between strength and toughness by adding a small amount of alloying elements (such as niobium, vanadium, titanium, etc.) and using controlled rolling and controlled cooling technology (TMCP). These alloying elements can effectively refine the grain size, improve the strength and toughness of steel, while maintaining good weldability and formability.
