1, Chemical composition
Carbon (C): 0.14% to 0.20%, balancing strength and toughness, providing a foundation for heat treatment;
Silicon (Si): ≤ 0.40%, enhances deoxidation effect and increases strength;
Manganese (Mn): 0.40% to 0.70%, optimized thermal processing performance and reduced thermal brittleness;
Chromium (Cr): 0.60% to 1.00%, synergistic with nickel element to enhance hardenability and corrosion resistance;
Nickel (Ni): 3.00% to 3.75%, significantly improving low-temperature toughness and impact resistance;
Sulfur (S) and phosphorus (P): both ≤ 0.035%, reducing the impact of impurities on performance.
2, Mechanical properties
Tensile strength: ≥ 980 MPa, meeting the requirements of high load conditions;
Yield strength: ≥ 650 MPa (significantly improved performance after quenching and tempering);
Impact toughness: excellent low-temperature impact resistance, suitable for dynamic load environments;
Hardness: can be adjusted to 241-341 HB through heat treatment, suitable for different application scenarios.

5, Processing and heat treatment suggestions
Heat treatment process:
Recommend quenching (830-860 ºC oil cooling) followed by high-temperature tempering (550-650 ºC) to refine grain size and optimize strength and toughness;
Welding process:
Preheat to 200-300 ºC and use low hydrogen welding rods to reduce the risk of welding cracks;
Surface treatment:
Carbonization or nitriding can improve surface hardness and wear resistance, and is suitable for friction components such as gears.
Note: Specific process parameters need to be adjusted based on part size, service environment, and industry standards.
