Seamless steel pipes for low-temperature pipelines,St37 is a steel grade in German standards, representing a wide range of material categories. In different application scenarios, St37 can refer to multiple different steel grades, such as St37-2, St37-3U, St37-3n, RSt-2, and USt37-2.
St37-2, One of the sub grades is a type of carbon structural steel. In Chinese standards, the corresponding grade is Q235B carbon structural steel. In the grade composition of St37-2, "St" comes from the German word "Stahl", meaning steel, and the number "37" after it indicates that the lower limit of the tensile strength of the material is 370 N/square millimeter (370 MPa).
This representation method is mainly used for non alloy steel, which is commonly known as carbon steel. Therefore, as a non alloy steel, St37-2 meets the general standards for carbon steel in terms of its chemical composition and performance characteristics. In China, the corresponding grade Q235B of St37-2 is also widely used in industries such as construction and manufacturing as a basic steel material.
