6063 aluminum alloy is a deformed aluminum alloy with magnesium and silicon as the main alloying elements [1], magnesium content 0.45% -0.9%, silicon content 0.2% -0.6%
Al-Mg-Si is the most important extrusion alloy, and as of 2022, more than 70% of all aluminum extrusion processing materials in the world are produced from this series of alloys. After decades of practical application and screening, 6063 together with three other alloys dominate (over 80%) the 6Mg-Si series, which covers all alloys with tensile strength σb in the entire range from 180MPa to 360MPa.
6063 aluminum alloy is a 6××series alloy (Al-Mg-Si) It is characterized by high plastic performance and corrosion resistance under pressure processing temperature-speed conditions; there is no tendency to stress corrosion; when welding, its corrosion resistance is not actually reduced. In addition to being used as building profiles such as doors and windows, curtain walls, 6063 aluminum alloy is also typically used for irrigation pipes, extrusion materials for vehicles, racks, furniture, fences, as well as different colors for aircraft, ships, light industry sectors, buildings, etc. In addition, in the electronics industry, 6063 aluminum alloy is also used to manufacture antennas, waveguides and other communication facilities.
