20Cr2Ni4A and 20Cr2Ni4WA are not the same material, and there are differences in their composition and properties:

Chromium (Cr): 1.25%~1.65%
Nickel (Ni): 3.25%~3.65%
Tungsten (W): not mentioned (excluding W element)
The chemical composition of 20Cr2Ni4WA includes tungsten (W):
Carbon (C): 0.18%~0.23%
Chromium (Cr): 1.5%~2.0%
Nickel (Ni): 3.5%~4.5%
Tungsten (W): 0.3%~0.8% 3
Performance and application differences
20Cr2Ni4A has high strength (tensile strength ≥ 1200 MPa), high hardenability (critical hardenability diameter 80mm), and low-temperature impact toughness (-40 ºC impact energy ≥ 80 J), making it suitable for high load scenarios such as large gears and shaft parts.
20Cr2Ni4WA focuses on high wear resistance and impact resistance, and is commonly used in high load conditions for precision forging and surface strengthening treatment.
Although both belong to the Cr Ni alloy carburizing steel, their application scenarios and performance focuses are different due to differences in composition.
